Boating Etiquette | Part 2
As mentioned in Boating Etiquette, Part 1, you should always make sure to know the state and local laws before getting on the water, including the safety requirements.
Below are some additional basic but helpful etiquette tips and reminders so you know what to do in common boating situations, like when you’re at the boat launch or fueling up, to ensure you're a courteous boater to those around you!
It’s also important to remember that on the water, voices don’t always carry. To communicate with other boats, you’ll need to ‘sound off’ by using your boats horn to share information about what you want to do such as: passing and reversing.
