Where has been your favorite place that you have traveled to go fishing, either for a competition or for fun?

I love fishing the South Carolina coast for redfish and trout the most.

What is your favorite type of fish to cook and what is your favorite way to cook it?

My favorite fish to cook is redfish on the half shell.

What is a fishing memory that sticks out most in your mind?

My most fond fishing memory is catching my PB bass in a tournament with my dad at 10 years old.

When you were learning to drive a boat, what was the most challenging part for you?

Being able to see over the console because I was so little!

What are 5 products you never leave for a day of fishing without?

PFD/Life Jacket, cell phone, z man SMH shakey heads my signature spinning rod, favorite hat

Is there a “best time” to go fishing?

The best time to go is when you have time to go! But if I had to choose, I would pick March.

When teaching kids how to fish – are there any rules, tactics or products that you really believe in?

Finesse fishing with a Zman TRD is the most productive way. Generally, I believe in letting the kids figure it out on their own and not over coaching.

What is your process and cadence for cleaning and maintaining your fishing gear?

I'm a fairy unorganized person and I don’t really clean my gear. The more I’ve tried to organize the harder it is to find things. The magic is really not using much gear to begin with.

If you’re fishing somewhere new, what are the top things you are looking at or for to get acclimated and to set yourself up for a successful fishing day?

I always look for areas that suit my style of fishing which is target oriented water. I spend much of my time riding looking around in creeks and river arms for that cover.

Can you differentiate bass from other fish on equipment like a depth finder?

Absolutely! I can tell by the way they set up or the depth they are in.
