Brunswick Corporation : U.S. Coast Guard Honors Brunswick's Marlow For Contributions Advancing Safe Boating
LAKE FOREST, Ill., Jan. 12, 2017 - Citing his "outstanding contributions to recreational boating safety," the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) recently honored Brunswick Corporation's (NYSE: BC) David Marlow with its Meritorious Public Service Award. Marlow, Brunswick's director - product integrity/government affairs, was cited for his contributions and leadership as a member of the National Boating Safety Advisory Council. The Council works with the U.S. Coast Guard's Boating Safety Division to improve the safety of recreational boaters on U.S. waterways through all means and methods, and to provide advice to the Coast Guard on matters relating to recreational boating safety. At various times in his career, Marlow has served as vice chairman of the Council as well as chairman of the Council's important Boats and Associated Equipment Subcommittee. USCG Rear Adm. Paul Thomas noted that "during his 12 years as chairman of the Boats and Associated Equipment Subcommittee, Mr. Marlow dedicated countless hours of his personal time and energy to ensuring that the subcommittee effectively addressed issues under its purview, and went to great lengths to include all interested parties in subcommittee discussions."
