Brunswick and Bowling Vision Host Showcase in United Kingdom to Reinforce Partnership

MUSKEGON, Mich., Jan. 7, 2008 – Brunswick Bowling & Billiards and its newest distributor, Bowling Vision Ltd., recently hosted a bowling showcase for proprietors in the United Kingdom to provide educational sessions and highlight the products and services that the two companies now produce together under one roof. Bowling Vision's Graham Waller and David Trend organized what was said to be the largest bowling industry event held in the UK. The bowling showcase, held at the Kettering Park Hotel and Spa, brought proprietors together for two days.

Whether a proprietor is looking to modernize a center, needs bowling balls, pins, rental shoes, or pinsetter parts, Brunswick and Bowling Vision in Kettering can support any bowling center needs.

Bowling Vision was recently appointed distributor for consumer products and aftermarket products in the United Kingdom and Ireland and now the company has partnered with Brunswick to offer bowling center equipment such as lanes and pinsetters to proprietors in these countries. With this new partnership, Brunswick and Bowling Vision in Kettering provide support for all aspects of the bowling business.

Brunswick Bowling Products' President Brent Perrier was on hand during the showcase to reinforce Brunswick's commitment to the industry: “The UK market is key for Brunswick, linking us with Bowling Vision will confirm the commitment we are offering to our customers and assist us in giving the high quality service we are renowned for, ” he said.

President of Brunswick Bowling & Billiards, Warren Hardie, also provided insight into Brunswick's retail business in the United States, and the increase in sales that bowling centers in America have experienced due to redesigns and modernizations. This has been true for both Brunswick owned and operated centers as well as independent locations which are Brunswick customers.

Brunswick also brought in several of its partners to the showcase, such as ClubCom, developers of the Brunswick Entertainment Network, and Meriq, which introduced a scoring-integrated online reservation system, to allow proprietors to maximize their booking potential. A representative from Embed International Card Systems discussed the features of a cashless card operation for bowling centers.

Brunswick experts discussed the features and benefits of Vector® and Vector® Plus scoring and management systems, which can be integrated with Brunswick Entertainment Network, the online reservation system, as well as cashless point of sales systems.

About 50 percent of the bowling centers in the UK were represented at the showcase, which included about 47 proprietors and managers representing 156 bowling centers.
