Lowe Boats Employees Achieve Safety Milestone; Vote to Donate Brunswick $10,000 Prize to American Cancer Society Relay for Life

LEBANON, Mo., July 31, 2006> – Lowe Boats employees are celebrating a safety milestone – 1 million work hours without a lost-time incident.

In recognition of this accomplishment, Brunswick Corporation, Lowe Boats' parent company, has awarded the facility the Chairman's Gold Safety Award. Dustan E. McCoy, chairman and chief executive officer – Brunswick Corporation, will be presenting the award during an all-employee luncheon on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m.

“At Brunswick, we are very serious about safety,” said McCoy. “I'm very pleased with Lowe Boats employees' effort in keeping in line with our safety objectives.”

“I'm very proud of our employees for taking personal responsibility for safety in the workplace,” said Les Crawford, president – Lowe Boats. “They have done a terrific job and together we will continue to aim for higher safety achievements.” In conjunction with this award, Brunswick has committed to a donation of $10,000 on behalf of Lowe Boats employees to a charity of their choice. Employees voted to donate the prize to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Laclede County, Springfield, Mo. Proceeds will go directly to the Society's life-saving programs.

Lowe Boats has approximately 325 employees and manufactures pontoons, deckboats, and aluminum fishing boats, from 10 to 25 feet in length.
